Fish being a healthier option as a food item vis a vis chicken, Abdullah Khan, the founder of Fishlee, realised the potential of creating a demand for fish food item. He introduced a completely fish based QSR to the Indian market, which is first of its kind to be established in India. Before venturing into it, Khan did a comprehensive research and gauged the readiness of Indian food market for a fish based restaurant. Finally, in 2020, he opened his first restaurant, followed by a series of restaurants in the subsequent years. Since then, Fishlee has grown exponentially, and simultaneously witnessing a change in the preferrence of customers, who are going for a healthier option of fish based food items. Fishlee is not only breaking the monopoly of chicken but has given a much healthier options to the Indian customers.
